Dp Rigathi awards lady behind ‘Riggy G’ with a job.
Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has made good his promise to award the lady behind his nick name, Riggy G.
Speaking in Kajiado presiding over an event marking World Food Day, the second in command announced that Ivy Chelimo has secured a job in his office not disclosing what exactly she will be doing there. Chelimo revealed that she had been contacted on the 17th October Monday morning by the DP with the offer.
The DP in a local station earlier this month said he had instructed his sons to look for Ivy so he could invite her for dinner. He has expressed joy, not once, in public over his new sobriquet. The DP termed this as creative and melodious to the ear adding that it made life simpler for people who found it mouthful to pronounce his full name.
Chelimo in an interview said that the nick naming was not planned, it occurred in a spur of the moment and soon she began trending on twitter.
