Ruto announces appointments to various selection panels and boards across Kenya
In a recent gazette notice, President William Samoei Ruto has appointed several individuals to serve on various selection panels and boards across Kenya.
The appointments took effect on January 13, 2023, and were made in accordance with the authority granted by various acts and regulations.
President Ruto announced the appointment of Arthur A. Osiya, Joyce Nyabuti, Gilbert Chabari Mutembei, Monica Muiru, Raymond Plal Sangsang Nyeris, Joyce M. Mutinda, and Mbeti Mchuki as members of the Selection Panel for the selection of nominees for appointment as a Member of the National Police Service Commission in the National Police Service Commission Act.
The head of state also announced the appointment of Mary W. Kimonye, Reuben K. Chirchir, Oscar Eredi, Alice Waguthi Kinyua, Mary Mwiandi, Steven Oundo, Mucha Mlingo, and Michael Munene to the Selection Panel for the selection of nominees for appointment as members of the National Gender and Equality Commission in the second act that was put into effect.
Cabinet Secretary for Agriculture and Livestock Development, Mithika Linturi, further announced the appointments of John Demesi Mande, Samwel G. Mugo, Joan Akumu Magero, Jafred M. A. Kitaa, Cathryn Wanjiru Wanjohi, Derrick Chibeu, Benson Oduor Ameda, Oreste Karanja Kuria, Queereenuse Pacho Oluoch, Mumina Guyo Shibia, Isaac Lekolol, Samson Muthuri M’Tuaruchiu and Sarah Kapkarich as members of the Board of the Kenya Veterinary Board, for a period of three years, with effect from the January 13, 2023.
These appointments are anticipated to improve the selection panels’ and boards’ knowledge and experience, as well as contribute to the efficient operation of the Kenya Veterinary Board, National Gender and Equality Commission, and National Police Service Commission.
