Raila returns to the country today
Raila Odinga is expected to jet back into the country today. Various leaders from the opposition have stated their commitment to make their way to the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to meet Raila who is expected to drive to Kibra in the company of his supporters where he will address a public rally.
Pastor Ezekiel arrested as police probe cult deaths
Pastor Ezekiel Odero of the New Life Prayer Centre and church was on Thursday 27 April arrested in Kilifi county in relation to deaths at his home, Coast Regional Coordinator Rhoda Onyancha confirmed.
Officers further closed down his church and over 100 people holed up at the church evacuated.
Regulator allowed to install mobile phone spying gadget
The communication regulator has received the nod of the Supreme Court to install a device on mobile phone networks to detect counterfeits amid concerns it will give the watchdog access to other customer data, including calls, messages and financial transactions.
Students to get HELB loans via M-Pesa
Beneficiaries of the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) will now be able to receive their loans via M-Pesa after the agency partnered with Safaricom to launch a new mobile wallet hosted in its mobile money app.
