President Ruto announces key boards appointments
President William Samoei Ruto has on Friday made several appointments to various boards.
Retired Lieutenant General Walter Raria Koipaton has been appointed as the Chairperson of the Kenya Wildlife Service Board for a three-year term beginning on December 23, 2022.
Retired General Julius Waweru Karangi will serve as the Chairperson of the National Council for Population and Development Board until July 20, 2024, replacing David Ngugi.
General Karangi’s previous appointment as Chairperson of the National Social Security Fund Board of Trustees has been revoked and replaced with Anthony Muriuki Munyiri for a three-year term.
Walter Nyambati has been appointed as the Chairperson of the Board of Geothermal Development Company for a three-year term starting on December 23, 2022.
Faith Boinett has been chosen to lead the board of directors of the Kenya Pipeline Company Limited for a three-year term beginning on December 23, 2022, replacing Rita Achieng Okuthe.
Noah Wekesa has been appointed as the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Kenya Forest Service for a three-year term starting on December 23, 2022, replacing James Waweru Karugu.
Job Chirchir has been appointed as the Chairperson of the Kenya Forest Service and Michael Kamau has been appointed as the Chairperson of the National Health Insurance Fund, both for three-year terms starting on December 23, 2022.
Lewis Nguyai’s appointment as Chairperson of the National Health Insurance Fund has been revoked.
