“From the Kikuyu nation where I come from, the Leopard and the tiger are one and the same thing. When I said there are tigers I meant Leopard(s). So go to the Nairobi National Park and see the Leopard/Tiger,” Gachagua said.
He spoke during the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Society Pan-African conference gala dinner on Monday at the Boma Hotel in Nairobi.
Gachagua has received criticism after he said that Kenya has tigers during his speech in Colombia.
“Again, as you come to invest in Kenya, We have many facilities for tourism. We have rare species of wildlife; we have elephants, rhinos, buffaloes, and tigers,” Gachagua said.
