Kayole police officer wins KES 11M SportPesa Mega Jackpot
Nicholas Kiplangat, a police officer from Kayole, has won KES 11,143,139 from the SportPesa Mega Jackpot.
The 36-year-old correctly predicted the outcome of 16 out of 17 football matches in the highest-paying regional gaming industry jackpot.
However, he missed the correct prediction of an English Championship match between Rotherham and Cardiff, which cost him the chance to win KES 291 million.
“I am happy that I have won KES 11 million, but I am also wishing that I had won the entire amount. I cannot believe that it is only one match that made me miss out on KES 291 million, which would have made me so well-off financially to invest in several projects,” said Kiplangat.
Despite missing out on the jackpot, Kiplangat revealed his plans to invest part of the winnings in building modest rental houses on his current piece of land.
He joins other lucky punters who have won life-changing amounts from the SportPesa Mega Jackpot.
The Mega Jackpot, which runs every weekend, has an overall jackpot amount for correctly predicting all 17 games and bonus payouts from 12 to 16 correct predictions.
As nobody claimed the SportPesa Mega Jackpot last weekend, the winning amount has now increased to KES 292 million, effective March 25, 2023.
