Life after floods: Aftermath of the El-nino rains in Kenya

Over half a million people were displaced by floods caused by the El-nino rains that started pounding the the country in November this 2023. By December 6th, 165 people had lost their lives as a result of El Nino floods. Now, the latest report by The National El Nino Emergency and Disaster Response says that 51 camps set up to accommodate victims of the recent El Nino rains have been closed as the displaced households have returned to their homes. NTV's Rukia Bulle paid a visit to the North Eastern part of the to assess how communities are coping with life after the rains disaster.
