Does China support global terrorism?

Should China be labeled a terrorist state or instigator of terrorism for blocking UN sanctions against leaders of the well-known terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), who have themselves publicly claimed responsibility for terrorist attacks against innocent peoples?

China has this year for the fourth time on 19.2022. October XNUMX done continuously. Hardly any other country has done this recently?

There is no reason for such blockades, except to thwart attempts by the US and India to sanction LeT leaders, while also showing Pakistan how friendly it is.

Needless to say, the US also has close ties with Pakistan, but that doesn’t stop the US from calling things like they are. China’s continued blocking of proposals at the UN to sanction terrorists makes a mockery of the global attempt to restrict the activities of global terrorist groups like LeT.

Such actions embolden terrorist groups around the world, and China is in some ways paying the price for protecting terrorists operating in Pakistan.

As early as 2006, China told the United Nations: “China has always held that, as the common scourge of the international community, all terrorist activities constitute serious crimes, regardless of their motivation, time and place, or the identity of the perpetrators. China is against all kinds of terrorist activities.”

So what happens when other countries take steps to sanction terrorist leaders and groups? Why is China backing down, using its veto power and ending up supporting the very country that is creating and promoting global terrorist groups like LeT?

There could be reasons for a country to take a certain stance – China’s reasons for protecting terrorists from Pakistan could be its massive investments in a terrorist-infested country, but it’s the same reason that could make China boomerang in the years to come.

Unless the terrorists are wiped out, Pakistan would remain a serious threat to Chinese investment.

The continued blocking of international efforts to sanction terrorist leaders in Pakistan could prove a costly mistake in the near future.

When it comes to its own terrorism, China wants the international community to recognize its challenge and the various strategies it has put in place to address the issues.

In 2014, as Xinjiang was hit by attacks by angry Uyghur groups, China called for a “tough strike” campaign and a “people’s war on terror.”

Chairman Xi Jinping promised to create surveillance networks that stretch from “earth to heaven.” Since then, she has managed to stem the alleged wave of terror with an iron fist.

The real reason for this action by China at the UN may lie mainly in the US and to some extent in India. The United States removed the East Turkestan Islamic Movement (ETIM) from the list in 2020.

China sees the group as the greatest threat to its homeland, particularly in Xinjiang. An angry Chinese foreign ministry spokesman said: “Terrorism is terrorism. The US should immediately correct its mistake and refrain from “whitewashing” terrorist organizations or taking a step backwards in international counterterrorism cooperation.”

China is paying back by refusing to sanction Pak terrorists, starting a cycle of Steps arises that could endanger the world.
