MOH retains Patrick Amoth as acting Director General of Health Services
The Ministry of Health has retained Dr. Patrick Amoth as acting Director-General of Health Services after four years in the role.
This follows changes made by Cabinet Secretary for Health Susan Nakhumicha on Wednesday, April 19.
Dr. Zainab Gura is to serve as the acting Deputy Director General for Medical Services
Amoth has been serving in an acting capacity since 2019.
Other appointments made include:
Directorate of Family Health Head – Dr. Andrew Mulwa
Directorate of Clinical Services Head – Dr. Irene Inwani
Directorate of Health Financing Head – Dr. Elizabeth Wangia
Directorate of Digital Health, Informatics, Policy and Research – Dr. Bernard Langat
Directorate of Health Products and Technologies – Dr. Tom Menge
In the State Department for public health and professional standards, the appointments are as indicated below:
Deputy Director General – Dr. Sultani Matendechero
Directorate of Preventive and Promotive Health Head – Dr. Joseph Lenai
Directorate of Public Health Standards, Regulations and Quality Assurance Head – Dr. Kigen Bartilol
Directorate of Public Health Sector Coordination and Intergovernmental Relations Head – Martin Sirengo
Directorate of Health Promotion and Education Head – Gladys Mugambi
