Meru County launches prayer altar at it’s headquarters
Meru County has launched a county prayer altar to seek God’s guidance and power while performing their duties.
The prayer altar was launched by Bishop Patrick Kariuki and the County Executive Committee for finance, Monicah Kathono, at the county headquarters.
According to Kathono, the prayers will encourage and mentor staff, and they will extend the prayers to various facilities such as hospital wards, markets, and other places within the county.
The prayers will be voluntary for three days a week and will not interfere with working hours. The prayers are to be held every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday between 6:45pm and 7:30pm.
Bishop Kariuki urged everyone to take prayers seriously so that God can bring back what the devil has taken from the county. He emphasized that it’s through prayers and hard work that the county can have more investors and bring all leaders together for more development.
According to him, the prayers will reveal hidden opportunities, minerals, and resources that might benefit the county.
The launch of the prayer altar comes after the governor managed to mend fences with MCAs after six months of wrangles.
Governor Kawira Mwangaza, who is also the founder of Baite Family Fellowship Church, has been leading prayers at her public events.
