List of Mps with Gachagua on his first trip as DP
A number of young Members of Parliament accompanied Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua to Rwanda for the YouthConnekt Africa Summit 2022.
South Mugirango mp Silvanus Osoro, Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro, Chuka Igambang’ombe MP Patrick munene, Bomet Woman Representative Linet Chepkorir ‘Toto’, Mogotio MP Reuben Kiborek and Nyali MP Mohammed Ali.
Others were Embu MP Pamela Njoki, Mwala MP Vincent Kawaya, Igembe South MP John Paul Mwirigi, Narok East MP Ken Aramat and MP Joseph Lolmegit.
Kiambu Senator Karungo wa Thangwa was also present.
In his speech, Gachagua introduced Toto to the Rwanda delegation as the youngest MP elected in the 13th parliament.
The Summit held at Kigali was themed Accelerating Investments in Youth: “Resilient Youth, Resilient Africa.”
Young people will have numerous opportunities to network and directly exchange with governments and business leaders, as well as representatives of international organizations, through a variety of plenaries, roundtables, youth labs, exhibitions, training sessions, exchange and networking lounges, and pop-up events, among other things.
Some topics that will be covered include youth contribution to climate action and sustainable peace and security; cultural, creative, and sports economy; digital economy skilling; agriculture and food systems; trade and youth health.
