Jubilee party members risk losing elected seats should they defect, Jeremiah Kioni says
Jubilee party Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni has warned the party’s members against defecting to other parties else they risk losing their elected seats.
“Once you are in a place that you sort to be elected to and immediately you start shifting your position, then without a doubt, you lack the leadership qualities that we were looking for as Kenyans,” he said.
Speaking after a meeting with the party’s elected members in Nakuru, Kioni re-iterated a pre-election agreement that the elected members committed to.
“For the sake of letting those in Jubilee know, we in Jubilee, if we get your waywardness behaviour, as a member of parliament or member of the county assembly, if we see you moving from one end to another remember we had the pre-election coalition agreement which you will want to remain faithful to.”
The party Secretary General further dismissed any claims that Jubilee party members were already making plans to migrate terming it as propaganda.
“Those who are already thinking of moving and I can tell you within Jubilee, we do not have that, it is propaganda.”
