I will rescue, rehabilitate young boys, Dorcas Rigathi says during Italy visit
Second lady Dorcas Rigathi has stated that she has chosen to be the boy child champion by rescuing them from drugs and putting them in rehab centers.
Speaking during her visit to the Villa Maraini Foundation in Italy, Pastor Dorcas shared her vision for revalidating the boys and men of Kenya and getting them off the streets.
“I decided to become the boy child champion, to be able to rescue them from the streets and put them in rehabs and get them on a path to validating their dreams.”
She stated her goal is to establish a rehabilitation facility that will be able to accommodate affected men and boys for treatment. Pastor Dorcas explained her involvement in boy-child mentorship through the establishment of her vocational center that trains reformed male drug addicts to empower them.
She explained that the war against drug abuse must be fought by everyone including clergymen and teachers.
“The war against drug and drug addiction must be fought by everybody. Because, if teachers and clergy can get into that space, they are the ones who are always with the people.”
The Villa Mariani Foundation specializes in the treatment and rehabilitation of drug addicts. This comes a month after Pastor Dorcas Rigathi vowed not to relent in her endeavor to rescue the boychild from drug abuse.
During a church service at Victors Chapel in Karatina, Nyeri county she promised to roll out her boychild program country-wide, adding that she will not be swayed by criticism from Kenyans.
“I will not allow satan to advance his agenda and destroy young boys. This will not happen. Not on my watch.”
