Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has assured Private Sector players of gaining big through the Kenya Kwanza government’s Hustler Fund.
He spoke on Monday when he attended the launch of the Kenya Youth Employment and Entrepreneurship Accelerator Program (K-YEEAP).
“I am a good bridge between the public sector and the private sector because I understand both,” the DP said.
“The Hustler Fund, the biggest beneficiaries will be you the private sector. Because if we are giving youth KES 50 billion, where will they come for materials? So you should come to us.”
The KES 50 billion annual fund expected to support micro, small and medium, enterprises (MSMEs) will be operationalised from December 1.
Speaking on Monday, Gachagua also reiterated his and President Ruto’s commitment to serving Kenyans.
He said that both of them are not after creating wealth for themselves.
“The President and I have no children we’re bringing up, we’re not looking for wealth. We are just available to serve 24/7. That is why the President has issued a policy direction about time management,” he said.
