IEBC to meet the four presidential candidates
The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission invited all presidential candidates to a meeting. The candidates; William Ruto (United Democratic Alliance Party), Raila Odinga (Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya Alliance), George Wajackoya (Roots Party), and Waihiga Mwaure (Agano Party) will meet with Wafula Chebukati at Windsor Golf Hotel and Country Club today. According to the IEBC invite, the meeting will be to discuss the printed register of voters, election results path, and harmonisation of campaign schedules.
Martha Karua to lead Azimio campaigns in Homa Bay
Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya Alliance running mate Martha Karua will lead campaigns in Homa Bay county. This comes a day after Raila Odinga and Martha Karua held an interview to answer questions regarding their Inawezekana Agenda.
“DP Ruto wanted me to represent him in The Hague”
Roots presidential candidate George Wajackoya revealed in an early morning interview with Mark Masai that he met William Ruto a few years ago when he wanted him to represent him in The Hague. Ruto had been charged with four crimes against humanity allegedly committed during the 2007-2008 post-election violence. The ICC threw out the case against the UDA presidential candidate for insufficient evidence.
The court expected to issue orders on Jimi Wanjigi’s fate
Safina presidential aspirant Jimi Wanjigi seeks to quash the decision by the IEBC dispute resolution committee to expel his name as a candidate in the August general election. Wanjigi was disqualified by the IEBC for failing to produce a valid degree certificate. The billionaire business had offered a letter showing he had cleared his coursework and was set to graduate at the end of the year.
