Court to Rule On Jimi Wanjigi’s Case

The Safina presidential aspirant was disqualified by the IEBC for failure to produce a valid degree certificate. The court will be ruling on Jimi Wanjigi’s case seeking to squash the IEBC dispute resolution committee’s decision to expel his name as a candidate in the August general election. The billionaire business had offered a letter showing he had cleared his coursework and was set to graduate at the end of the year.

Raila To Lead Presidential Campaigns In Nyamira

ODM party leader Raila Odinga will lead his presidential campaigns in Nyamira county as he continues to transverse the greater western region. Just a day before a teargas canister had been hauled at a rally led by Azimio-One Kenya running mate Martha Karua in Kisii county. The Cabinet Secretary for  Interior and Coordination of National Government Fred Matiang’i has ordered the Inspector General, Mutyambai to investigate the attack.

Kenya Kwanza To Campaign In Embu

A day after launching their manifesto, the Kenya Kwanza team will be campaigning in Embu county. UDA presidential candidate William Ruto unveiled his manifesto yesternight highlighting an ‘inclusive employment-creating economic model’.

More trouble for Nairobi’s Johnson Sakaja after the Commission for University Education (CUE) writes to IEBC revoking recognition of his degree after completing probe on authenticity of his papers from Team University, Uganda. The Nairobi gubernatorial candidate maintains he has the requisite qualifications to run for the seat.

Roots Party presidential candidate George Wajackoyah launched his party’s manifesto in style at KICC on June 30th. His 10 steps to freedom agenda has left many Kenyans talking as he highlighted why he wants to suspend the constitution for the first 6 months if elected president. According to Wajackoyah, bhang farming in Nyeri county alone will earn each Kenyan dividends of up to KSh. 200,000 every year.
