What started as a merry-go-round to tackle socio-economic challenges, among a group of women in Nandi, has turned into a giant enterprise which has transformed livelihoods.
Cheptarit Star Women’s group, comprises of 15 members, who are involved in buying and selling of cereals. The women supply beans and maize to over 300 schools across the country.

His Highness Prince Karim Al-Hussaini Aga Khan IV, the 49th hereditary Imam (spiritual leader) of the Shia Ismaili Muslims and Founder and Chairman of the Aga Khan Development Network, has died in Lisbon, Portugal, at 88. The Aga Khan, a direct descendant of the Prophet Mohammed, is well known globally for his philanthropic works that were aimed at improving people’s lives. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, according to an official statement.
