The matter of insecurity has increasingly been growing into one of grave concern in the county of Kisumu. In just 5 months, two hospitals in the lakeside county have recorded at least 6 deaths and treated more than 260 people, all of whom have been victims of gang attacks. The criminals rob innocent members of the public who they shoot, stab, hack or clobber, even in broad daylight. As a result, there are informal curfews in various areas, which even residents are putting in place themselves.
