KRA in court again over Keroche tax dispute

The Kenya Revenue Authority has moved to court once again accusing Keroche Breweries of failing to comply with tax settlement agreements which informed the re-opening of the business on July 29, 2022. According to court documents, KRA says Keroche breweries defaulted on paying KShs. 16 million - Kshs. 8 million due on August 6, 2022, and another KShs. 8 million on August 30, 2022 - and current taxes worth KShs. 14,282,363. "That despite the several requests and reminders to the contemnors on behalf of Keroche Breweries Limited to comply with the order of July 14, 2022, the contemnors have declined to make good the payment which now stands at KShs. 30,282,363," it reads. The hearing is slated for September 6, 2022.
