Drowning Dreams
As the unforgiving tide of Lake Turkana creeps further inland, it’s not just land and homes that are swallowed — but also the dreams, hopes, and futures of an entire generation. Climate change has unleashed a powerful blow on Turkana County, submerging schools along the lake shore and displacing families, with heartbreaking consequences. Our reporter, Ruth Munyi, takes us to ground zero, where children grapple with illness from saline water, and communities fight to stay afloat, in the following special report, Drowning Dreams.
