Miguna lashes out at Nation FM presenter over “Silly question”

Twitter was a blaze on Wednesday evening, after acclaimed Nation FM presenter Antoneosoul posed a “silly question” to his listeners on whether the incoming government should grant Dr. Miguna Miguna entry to Kenya Unreservedly.

As is wont of the presenter to engage with his listeners on twitter through questions that spark meaningful conversations, it seemed that on this particular occasion the question on Miguna’s entry into the country was a tread on muddy waters.

No sooner had Antoneosoul posed the question live on the Nation FM  drive show, than Miguna Miguna tweeted back, “A silly question. Some of these kids should revise their civics.”

The deported Kenyan lawyer has written to the Head Public Service Joseph Kinyua seeking to be facilitated to travel to Nairobi and attend President Elect DR. William Ruto’s swearing in on Tuesday next week.

In a letter dated 7th September 2022 Miguna through his lawyer Adrian Kamotho Njenga, wrote to the Assumption of Office committee giving a 24hr ultimatum to facilitate his travel back into the country and more so by giving him emergency travel documents and lifting red alerts issued to airlines in 2018. It reads in part

“Your Committee has an overarching duty and legal obligation to ensure that our client is facilitated to attend the swearing-in ceremony of the 5th President, His Excellency William Samoei Ruto, without fail.”

In the letter Miguna points an accusing finger at the out going regime for what he terms as his unlawful deportation in Feruary 2018 days after his arrest.

“Without an iota of legality, some notorious operatives of the outgoing regime forcefully removed our client from the Kenyan territory. Since then, numerous court orders have been issued against the officials of the outgoing administration, directing them to facilitate our client’s return,” the letter states.

The estranged lawyer was deported in February 2018, days after his arrest, for his role of the mock swearing-in of Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Leader Raila Odinga on January 30th, 2018. He failed in his attempt to return to Kenya on March 26th, 2018 forcing his lawyers to go to court.
